Fall is the fourth and final major Sun Cycle of the year; as the nights lengthen and the days shorten, it brings forth a time of changing focus and direction in your life, and there is no shortage of reasons to visit St. Augustine, especially now that the heat has lifted a bit!  As a special pre-holiday season special, the Solana’s September Sale will allow afford you weekday rates with any 2-day weekend stay in September at Casa de Solana Bed & Breakfast.

Your room rate always includes breakfast (a different hot entrée each morning and your choice of cereals, scones, and croissants); coffee and tea available from 7 a.m. – 6 pm; wine and cheese in the dining room from 4:30-5:30 pm; and the complimentary use of our bicycles until 7 p.m. daily.

Of course there are some stipulations attached to this discounted offer—you must request the special at the time you make the reservation  (we will not apply it automatically, and it cannot be applied to pre-existing reservations); the offer cannot be used with any other discount or gift certificates of any kind; and it is not available during the holiday weekend, but we’re booked up that weekend anyway.  : )

If you wish to book a Friday-night-only or a Saturday-night-only, you may do so at the regular weekend rate (based on availability of course), the full night’s stay will be due upon booking in the form of a nonrefundable deposit and the reservation is firm.

September at Solana is “Celebrate Our Local Artists” month. We will be kicking that off with an Open House in conjunction with the First Friday Art Walk on September 7 from 6 to 9 pm, and of course we’ll be serving up our complimentary Solana Sangria. Each week from Sunday thru Saturday, we will be showcasing the work of different local artists—writers, painters, musicians, folk artistry, fashion knittery, etc. (details to follow in the form of artist-specific blogs) and will be raffling items to raise money for our October animal welfare charity donation.

Sep 29 Jack Daniel’s Original Silver Concert Band Mr. Jack Daniel’s Original Silver Cornet Band is an affectionate re-creation of a small-town band that existed in Lynchburg, TN from 1892 until about 1914.
