The 35th Annual Cathedral Festival is back in 2020 with all the excitement, thrills, and delicious food that you can imagine. A staple of St. Augustine life here in Florida, this beloved carnival will have rides, fireworks, fair food, live entertainment, a silent auction, and of course the traditional shrimp dinner. Mark your calendar for this event happening February 28, 2020, through March 1, 2020.
What to Expect
The carnival has something for everyone. Rides will run all weekend long and include a Ferris wheel, a carousel, a tilt-a-whirl, a super slide, and more. Saturday will feature a fireworks show at 9:30 (rain date is Sunday), and Sunday will include the shrimp dinner, raffle drawing, and silent auction. Musical acts will perform throughout the event, with special guests the Red River Band performing Saturday night from 7:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Keep an eye out for baton twirlers while you browse the wide offerings of fair food. Indulge in hamburgers, pizza, funnel cakes, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and so much more.

The carnival will be held at the Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission of Nombre de Dios, which is at 101 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, FL 32084. Tickets
The entry fee for the fair is $5 for adults, $3 for kids aged 11-17 and senior, and free for kids 10 and under as well as active-duty military. For the best deal on ride tickets, purchase a sheet of 20 in advance for $15. Tickets will also be available for purchase the day of for $20 per sheet of 20.
The carnival draws about 10,000 people every year and proceeds benefit the Cathedral Basilica as well as the parish’s K-8 school and early education center.
