Occupying the entire first floor of the de Palma Building, Mary Mitchell's room is one of our finest accommodations. Named for the London-born first wife of Don Manuel Solana (who built the Casa), this room offers all the modern amenities of a wet bar and refrigerator. It retains old world elegance in its appointments. Furniture includes two beautiful queen size beds (Note: the photo above shows previous furnishing with one king bed; a new photo is coming soon!), 19th century antiques, and a gas fireplace. A full modern bathroom includes a two-person whirlpool tub with shower to slip into after a long day of sightseeing around St. Augustine. Mary Mitchell's room is entered from the courtyard and has its own outdoor seating area where visitors can enjoy the sounds of passing horses on the cobblestones of Aviles Street and the peaceful fountains of the Casa's gardens.
